@HailsandAles I know, right? We all knew it was coming. I've often thought about ditching Mastodon for Bluesky but this is the exact reason I chose to stay. It was only a matter of time. And don't even get me started on the whole "decentralized" bs.

@HailsandAles I never thought about leaving Mastodon for Bluesky for this exact reason. I've seen many platforms come and go, normally due to capitalism-related issues.

Mastodon doesn't necessarily have that problem as you can always just move your account to a new server/instance.

I knew the moment Bluesky didn't have decentralized everything available up front that something like this would eventually happen.
