Freddie Mercury might be my favorite rock singer.

Making the rest of Queen probably my second favorite rock singer.

Just for context, all my favorite Journey stuff was produced by Roy Thomas Baker.

The man carpentered the tightest harmonies of my timid pubescence.

@hotdogsladies When you say 'carpentered', is this in reference to the group?

@jasohill

I just love useful verbs, and I'm not afraid to mint them ad lib!

Also: I am broken inside.

@hotdogsladies Don't stop. I love verbafying things my self.

When people did of Roy Thomas Baker, they marveled at the board, the console, he would bring in via flight case, for tracking or rehearsal etc. . Most bands had never seen that before, the board coming to them.

@hotdogsladies

I honestly got the feeling they didn’t care too much for any of the legendary producers that worked with them.

I bought XTC Drums and Wires on the strength of Steve Lillywhite, who hadn’t done too much yet (Ultravox?) The art work had me pick it up the LP, the name sold me.
I didn’t know xtc from Adam. Oddly I was reading Rolling Stone I bought as I was listening there was a review of it I reached as the lp ended. They liked it too.
