This chart sums up what must happen in tomorrow's Mexico-Italy match for Team USA to advance to the quarterfinals in the #WBC.
X-axis is how many runs Mexico scores, and y-axis is how many runs Italy scores.
If Mexico wins while scoring 4 or less runs, Team USA is out.
Fun times, especially considering that Mark DeRosa, the manager for Team USA, thought they had already secured the quarterfinals berth.
Wouldn't the blue one end up with 11 runs for US, 10 for MX and 12 for Italy?

I didn't make the chart, only translated it. 😅 So yeah, I didn't check if all the details math out. Maybe it doesn't lol.
But I think the "if Mexico wins while scoring 4 or less, USA loses out" part is correct. Hopefully tomorrow's game won't go to that fringe case of the blue square.
