Enabling Emergency Alerts on Your Phone
iPhone:
Open Settings
Tap on Notifications.
Scroll to the bottom to find Government Alerts.
Turn on Emergency Alerts
Turn on Always Deliver for critical alerts.
Android:
Open Settings
Tap on Safety & Emergency or Notifications
Select Wireless Emergency Alerts
Enable the following options:
Allow alerts
Extreme threats
Severe threats
Emergency alerts are sent directly from FEMA and the National Weather Service.
Alerts are location-based and will override Do Not Disturb settings.
