A Guy Called Gerald - Radio 1, One in the Jungle (May 17, 1996)

i don't generally like any newer jungle stuff but these old jungle mixes by the masters like Gerald & Mill & others are always worth hearing. almost a different world at this point, ~30 years ago now.

Nondi_ - Bonus Nondi...

great weirdness in the melodies & offkilter grooves from Nondi_, as she so often does well. love how these flow in & out of different states of mind & body in some way.

Hum - Inlet

6 years later & still feeling this one out. not that i don't love it deeply but it's still settling, growing? so much hidden in the cacophony & quiet moments alike, really rewarding for focused listening. really emotional album.

Hum

@tsrono I absolutely adore this album. I like that they went for longer songs. I'm also surprised I could find three minutes of the same slow riff at the end of Desert Rambler actually enjoyable!

My partner ordered the vinyl to the UK and it took nearly two years and two different attempts to order.

@hellocatfood ah, always awesome finding out someone's a Hum fan! the longer songs definitely felt like a good move - they've done them since the early days of course, but the extra time on almost everything here seemingly lead to some different choices for song structures & overall vibe. DR & the other long chug sessions on here are so meditative & full of such gravity. nothing new to just playing a riff to extremes but they're doing their own Hum take on it in ways they'd only touched before.
