1 track album
eczem - A Gray Hill
one i always come back to. minimal in ways but also never lazy or boring.

4 track album
A Guy Called Gerald - Radio 1, One in the Jungle (May 17, 1996)
i don't generally like any newer jungle stuff but these old jungle mixes by the masters like Gerald & Mill & others are always worth hearing. almost a different world at this point, ~30 years ago now.

Nondi_ - Bonus Nondi...
great weirdness in the melodies & offkilter grooves from Nondi_, as she so often does well. love how these flow in & out of different states of mind & body in some way.

18 track album
Minus the Bear - Planet of Ice
listening for the ~200th time, hits as hard as it did on the 20th. such a stellar album.

10 track album
Castor - Tracking Sounds Alone
slippery & jagged & mundane & deep & bits of everything between.

9 track album
Hum - Inlet
6 years later & still feeling this one out. not that i don't love it deeply but it's still settling, growing? so much hidden in the cacophony & quiet moments alike, really rewarding for focused listening. really emotional album.

8 track album
Marcel Sletten - Psycho Narcissus
some spat of noise to wake me up/settle my skull a bit, hopefully.

11 track album
Rime Trails - Distances
really enjoying this one, as i do w/ basically everything RT puts out...some sort of succinctness & immediacy here that i don't know he's touched on in some time.

12 track album
Eccentric Orbits of Minor Planets - 15760 Albion
straightforward grooves & moving tonal energy throughout. focused.

Lime68k - Live @ NaN Festival, Karlsruhe, DE (29.11.2025)
must've been a trip hearing this live. feels improvised but still so strong & exacting.

chris di vito - yct2
on the mellow & transitory tip.

4 track album
VON - Maze of mirrors
hitting pretty well today. really classy & intricate stuff.

8 track album
m. geddes gengras- QUIK-MELT
lovely stuff, really.

4 track album
Mail Order Mystics - Treces
chaotic & ritualistic & 70s/80s vibe underlying it all

3 track album
Pillar of Wasps - A Collective Hallucination
heavy & jagged & weird.
https://pillarofwasps.bandcamp.com/album/a-collective-hallucination
Invisible Double - DONE
unexpected sounds & composition & emotions at every turn here.

8 track album
Samsuo - floor
weird little pieces of sounds left lying out

5 track album
Fordell Research Unit - Amidst Sleeting Angles
a bit of a chill thing (well not entirely, i forgot about the latter half...), sort of a mix it feels like, makes for a nice listen

1 track album
FACS - Still Life In Decay
peak weird grooving noisy 3 piece vibe

6 track album
Ixuol - Abstraction In High Fidelity
from Zabte Sote, pulling at threads from a number of sounds but mostly on the ambient-ish lean. always a refreshing listen. maybe a little long tho.

@tsrono I absolutely adore this album. I like that they went for longer songs. I'm also surprised I could find three minutes of the same slow riff at the end of Desert Rambler actually enjoyable!
My partner ordered the vinyl to the UK and it took nearly two years and two different attempts to order.
@sellanraa hm, there's definitely stoner rock influence in here, it took some getting used to but i started to hear the Hum in it - like you said, it's still got that texture & layering! i can't say i've ever thought of them as a 'hook'y band but they've had their moments ofc... singing's always been on the sparse side so i don't see that as a big change really. maybe is more prominent in these longer tracks tho, can see that.
the ~20 years is there, no doubt. people change, bands adapt ๐คทโโ๏ธ
