@heyokyay Depressing thought: what if our planet is the rule, rather than the exception? After all: if intelligence emerges through evolution, then it follows that intelligent life everywhere must go through a period of incredible stupidity first. It’s anyone’s guess how many planets actually reach the point that their lifeforms say “You know? We shouldn’t do that. It is so stupid, really.” before they extinct themselves.
