This - is the constant, eternal, never-ending problem with using ALL GIS desktop software.
Atanas@GeoDon I remember when ArcView 2.0 came out. A big selling point was that the UI is customizable so users can remove the extra buttons from the UI and only show the ones that they need. I was an esri-certified instructor at the time and this "feature" was in the esri-developed class materials. I do not know of anyone who did that.
The ribbon attempts to solve this problem, but makes things even more confusing IMHO.

I remember that 2.0 feature. I even experimented with it a few times. Never got to the point where I could sell it to a client, though.
