That doesn't really make sense. Signal is a non-profit and the code is open source. It's not about nationality, but motivation.

@davep @wyliecoyoteuk true, i simply have little faith in such sentiments and nor should anyone else, we should expect the American state to access the code and data in times like these.

I totally get the sentiment. I trust the people at Signal, but obviously not the American government...
