But yeah, I absolutely agree, the pretence at neutral balance from our journalists really is gone, isn't it? 😖
@owenblacker 💯%, that's his main gig and claim to fame nowadays and he is brilliant at it. Reminds me of Virgin X in the UK, are they a performance artist or an activist? I generally don't like describing people as activists unless that's how they self-define. To be accurate, Matt's self-description is "friendly queer Jew with very long nails". Nailed it (no pun intended).
@sheislaurence Ah, fair. Though I've never understood reluctance to use the word "activist". Do some people consider it to be a negative term, rather than neutral?
@owenblacker 💯%! Defo used by the MAGA crowd the same they say "woke" or "DEI". Come to think of it and being in the presence of many, i don't think i know anyone self describing as an activist or describe their peers as activists. Except... me it transpires in my bio here 😱😅! I haven't touched it in years, time for a change!! Thnx for the unwitting nudge 🤭!
