Had a small sad today thinking about how my time on Xubuntu is almost certainly close to the end; as Canonical will almost certainly implement the USGOV's central ID collection BS with minimal resistance.

Maybe the trick is going to be:

Don't ship an OS. Ship a partially complete OS (gentoo style) that the user must assemble themselves and add finishing pieces.

I think the demand.to shove #Govware into an #OS itself is so inherently wrong that it needs to be opposed like "#DeathPenalty", "#AgeVerification" and banning #anonymity in one go.
