Is vocal therapy worth it? I've been thinking it over for the last few days and I'm having such choice paralysis. It's so expensive but I would love to make some more progress here

@n3tcat i don't know yet. i'm only doing it right now because it is covered as gender-affirming care and is available to me.

i am learning about voices and how they work and how to take care of them, though!

@n3tcat i hear it's worth it. it doesn't have to be a part of your journey, but everyone i know who has done it don't regret it. i'm going to be getting a consult soon. i do not like how much it will cost, and i'm not sure i'll be sticking with this person. but i also have been wanting to do this for years

@catilac Yeah the initial exam at the start (which costs like $300) also scares me. It is quite an upfront commitment and I assume if I change to a different person I will have to redo it
