One of @pluralistic's best posts and one of the best reasoning as to why we need to get rid of billionaires.

"The problem isn't whether rich people believe stupid shit; it's the fact that when a rich person believes something stupid, that belief can turn into torment for dozens, thousands, or millions of people.โ€

@rberger @pluralistic "guillotineable" - thanks for adding that to my vocabulary. I'll see lots of guillotineable people everywhere henceforth ๐Ÿ˜‚

@kennethkalmer @papageier @rberger @pluralistic every healthy economy needs a robust guillotine repair and maintenance workforce.

Financial obesity is an existential threat to any society that tolerates it, and needs to cease being celebrated, rewarded, and positioned as an aspirational goal.

Corporations are the only โ€˜personsโ€™ which should be subjected to capital punishment, but billionaires should be euthanised through taxation.

@papageier @rberger @pluralistic some people are just defenestratable ๐Ÿ˜‚
@marco @papageier @rberger @pluralistic That would be a russian flavour I guess ๐Ÿ˜

"After all, the prime advantage to accumulating as much money as possible is freedom from having to listen to other people. The richer you are, the fewer people there are who can thwart your will. ...
But wait, it gets even worse! Hurting other people is often a great way to get even more rich. So the richer you get, the more insulated you are from consequences for hurting other people, and the more you hurt other people, the richer you get."

Great - the rich get their wealth from the money printer - unlike popular stories which want to make you believe it is because they are exceptionally witty, wise, smart, hard working, you name it.

We all work for, demand and get paid in their money (they can print it).
They use it to payroll us all, to buy the lion share of the fruits of our labour and consolidate the means of production into their hands.

Lets start using new open source money they cant print
