Linux, Windows and Mac packages of #QGIS point release 3.44.8 "Solothurn" (new LTR) and new major release 4.0.0 "Norrköping" (vEA) ready on https://qgis.org. Make maps not war!
@jef At the moment, it looks like the Mac package of release 4.0.0 is missing.
At least, I can't find it.
@beps @jef the macOS installer for QGIS 4.0.0 is now available.
@jef The first time I sat with some GIS software (can't remember which it was, it was 20+ years ago) was in Norrköping so for me personally the naming totally make sense.

@jef is this still not a notarized application (on macOS)?

Is this a conscious decision or simply was never done ?

Contex: I’m an IT Admin and have had (at multiple jobs) to build out exceptions to MDM policies so users can use this application, tho typically Gatekeeper is strictly enforced.

@zed why do you think the macOS installer is not notarized?
@andreaerdna cause I’ve gotten a request to temporarily disable gatekeeper so that this app can be installed multiple times while working at multiple different companies
@zed please report the issue to the QGIS developers at https://github.com/qgis/QGIS/issues
According to https://qgis.org/resources/installation-guide/#binary-packages-installers the official all-in-one dmg installesr are signed and notarized.

@jef Is QGIS 4.0.0 available for Ubuntu noble?
@jef Hello and thank you for everything! The signature date in the certificate validity of the MSI installer file for version 3.44.8 LTR seems to be invalid > installation is blocked by AppLocker on Windows computers in my organisation (18,000 computers). Are you already aware of this? If not, where can I please report this issue so that it can be resolved in the next release?
