I remember when there used to be Marauder Miniatures as well as Citadel Miniatures!
Kerrick_the_Painter@ibboard a lot of the speculation is that they are trying to rebrand ahead of the Amazon series to be more mainstream friendly. Potentially a pretense to becoming a lifestyle brand rather than just a model wargaming company (see Hasbro/WotC/D&D).
@kerrick_the_painter Yeah, the shop rebrand was "recognisability" (because the big yellow-and-red letters weren't sufficiently distinct?) and "people call it the Warhammer shop anyway".
But we're losing something when we don't have Citadel and Black Library and other sub-brands and everything just becomes Primary Trademark™.
@ibboard absolutely agreed. I think these are just symptoms of a larger issue and this “modern GW” under Kevin Roundtree trying to distance themselves from their past now that all the original creatives/staffers are gone from the company not counting some Black Library authors.
