We all knew Trump was lying when he claimed Iran blew up their own school, but now we have the photos showing a US cruise missile hitting the site. The same type of cruise missile is featured in social media posts by the US, being fired from a ship on the same day.

So yeah, somebody who is probably in their early 20s gets to live with the knowledge that they pushed that button, while a raging asshole posted about it on social media, and of course, almost 160 children died.

@mcnado I wonder how people twist the things that they've done in their minds so they can live with themselves. I know military folks who are haunted by their own actions.

@kimlockhartga

I was never in the military so I don't know but is it possible that at least some of the soldiers directly involved really didn't know their target was a girls' school? As in, they weren't told the truth so that they'd have no qualms about pushing the buttons?

@mcnado

@IAmDannyBoling @mcnado It is very possible. I do think they knew they were targeting fishing boats off the coast of Venezuela, though.

@kimlockhartga

They also knew there were survivors and followed orders to either let them drown or to blow them up again. I don't recognize my country anymore.

@mcnado

@IAmDannyBoling @mcnado true that.

I am extremely upset with the Coast Guard. Their whole thing is Search and Rescue, not Search and Destroy!

@kimlockhartga

We're all living in Backwards Town, I swear

@mcnado

@IAmDannyBoling @mcnado I have to shake myself out of being completely distraught with the state of humanity. Horrible people are loud and draw a lot of attention to themselves. There are plenty of good people, good souls with integrity, they just are quiet about the good that they do for other people.
