I spent the entirety of my career in service to others.

I now find myself broke, in pain both physically and emotionally due to #bipolar #mdd and #ptsd from childhood abuse and working in a NYC emergency room for years. It’s kinda ironic that I am unable to afford my physical therapy or my cannabis edibles for the nerve pain.

Kinda ironic for a dude who spent 16 years as a healthcare professional.

Both my wife and I worked in healthcare and now are both disabled (she is partially blind) on SNAP that keeps getting cut off.

She gets SSDI mine has been denied for going on almost an eight year battle at this point. Just received my recent rejection last week.

I don’t want to be rich. I just want to reap what I’ve sown. I don’t think that’s too much to ask.

I just feel so defeated.
