@DanielDNK @TycoonTom @GrapheneOS Whenever possible I get what I need in physical stores with cash. In particular I have never ordered groceries in my life nor used store discount cards.
If something is only available online, I fire up an Ubuntu USB live stick on a desktop, import a subset of my browser config to block only things like Facebook that no shopping site breaks on the absence of, do business and shut down. Vendors who only take things like Paypal I cannot use at all as I do not have any of those sort of accounts.
I do not use phones for online shopping at all, ever.
I do not have Paypal etc as I do not trust them.
By not using banking apps or banking online at all, I have 100% effective protection against "banker" malware and phishing for bank creds. This is because ANY email claiming to be from the bank has to be phish as the bank doesn't have it.
I realize my use case is a special case, made necessary by who I am.
