I haven’t listened to any podcast from the beginning of this week and already feel less rushed. The audio senses were overwhelmed with all the excessive listening I did last year.

Every time in the past when I overdo podcast consumption, it leads to a state similar to what experienced last year.

Update:

One week more and zero listening. My brain feels like mine and my thoughts are resting in it. No more distracted with what was said and chasing something new tangents all the time.

More intentional in everything I do and I am now able to factor time more reasonably.

Update:

One more week gone by without listening to any podcast. Feel more alive and free to think about random things. In the process realised that I think too much about work. Next in the line of chopping block is social media for consumption.

Its been another 3 weeks since I listened to a podcast. Social media has replaced that time but not having anyone's voice in my head is helping me write my newsletter faster, help me retain events of the week to recollect and lastly helps me cope with everything that unfolds in my personal life.
@vsvivek93 Damn man! What was your weekly listening time?
I generally feel it is the opposite for me. Listening to podcasts helps me connect the dots sometimes, or ignite something useful. While social media (mostly the conversations of Whatsapp) adds little value.
@shibaprasad I think I averaged around 7-10 hours which is why I was always feeling rushed with everything else.

@vsvivek93 Aah okay. Weekly 7-10 is reasonable I think. 60-80 mins per day.

But I guess it boils down to the type of content you are consuming, and whether it is active (like only listening to that) or passive (listening to that while doing other stuffs)

@shibaprasad

Its a mix of both but it became a crutch to not have any downtime at one point of time. That's when things started to be overwhelming and something had to be done.
