Monsterdon had a milkshake duck experience with director Luigi Cozzi last night.

Beloved director of Hercules and Starcrash also made an edited version of Godzilla 1954 in which he inserted footage of *actual* dead bodies. WTF!

The decision by Cozzi to specifically add real footage of death and destruction from war-time film reels was intentional. He wanted to give such an old feature an "up-to-date and more violent look".
