Work on #Vernissage for iOS is still ongoing. All planned features have already been implemented. What remains are testing, refinements, and polishing to deliver the best possible app for sharing your photography. The latest build introduces a contextual menu on timelines, adapting to single or multiple photos while previewing the beginning of the status text. 😊
@vernissage Hey, those are my images you are using there, of the swan. A wee request wouldn't have gone amiss.
@StevenLawsonPhotography Hi! Thanks for reaching out. They’re beautiful photos - I honestly didn’t realize that using them this way (only as small thumbnails) could be a problem. Sorry about that. I’ll definitely keep it in mind for next time.
@vernissage I presume you will be charging users of the iOS app a subscription fee when it becomes available, yes? If so, then using my photos in what is essentially an advert for your app, without my permission or without compensation, is unacceptable.
@StevenLawsonPhotography Thanks for explaining your concerns. #Vernissage (including the iOS app) is an open-source project created for the community, so that photographs like yours can be shared and discovered by people. Even if the app ever included a fee (which is unlikely), it wouldn’t come close to covering the costs I personally invest to run it. I understand that your concern is about compensation, so I’ve removed your photos from my post. Wishing you all the best with your work.
@vernissage Thank you and good luck with your project.

@vernissage Feel free to use any of my photos instead if you like.

@kallekn Thank you so much. You really made my day better. ā¤ļø

@vernissage Thank you for a great site!

(By the way, it would be nice to be able to hide boosts from some accounts I follow, just like in Mastodon.)

@kallekn Hi there! You can definitely do it. Go to the account page you want to hide boosts, and there’s an option to mute the account (three dots). You can then select ā€œmute reblogs.ā€ From that point on, new reblogs shouldn’t be visible on your timeline.

@vernissage Ok, found it! It was a bit counterintuitive, as I did not want to mute the account, only reblogs. But now I know.

@vernissage uh nice! Can’t wait for final version. šŸ™‚
