Morning Mastodonians!

It was a pretty good, if all too fast, weekend. We met some friends for lunch, then went to a brewery. We did our usual thing Saturday night (martinis by the buyer) and Sunday night (SNL and Last Week Tonight while sipping a homemade scorpion bowl). Springing forward and losing an hour wasn’t great, though. However, none of the animals seems to be thrown off by it. I still need to finish adjusting the clocks.

I have a lot of shit to do #today. And I mean that literally, not figuratively. We got our monthly delivery of Pretty Litter, so the kitty litter boxes need to be changed. I haven’t been as diligent as I should be in scooping them. And the better weather means melting snow, which means uncovering lots of doggy droppings. It is a real mess out there. I was doing a pretty good job of keeping up with it, but when it gets cold and or snowy, it goes by the wayside. Luckily, tomorrow is trash day.
I have always said the hardest days to work from home are when the spring days start getting warmer. It is hard to concentrate when the sun is shining, and the temperature is in the 60s (15°C). It’s going to be so nice the next couple of days, I am considering taking at least one of them off. It used to be better when I had my office in the basement, but now that I’ve moved it upstairs, I can tell how nice it is outside. Probably not good enough to take the dogs for a long walk in the Fells.
So it is back to the #SaltMine today. I should be able to do everything because I can stay focused, thanks to a couple of very clear objectives I need to wrap up. That at least helps with the distractions. I have been gradually improving CVE detection and have a few more ideas. I think it’s better to have a false positive than to miss it entirely, so that’s the way I’m progressing.

Be safe. Wash your hands. Watch your distance. Wear your N95 mask. Vaccinate! Boost!
