He has pledged to make the regeneration of high streets one of his top priorities, as well as road repairs and supporting parents of children with special educational needs whom he intends to turn back into chimney sweeps.

Yes and no. We certainly don’t need a return to the temples to consumerism we used to have in city centres, but more social spaces, a place for communities to develop, people to enjoy leisure, or to learn new skills… yes please!
