Things that I won’t use, even to mock or joke about it:

* Generative AI
* Incel slang
* MAGA or nazi imagery

I think this is a reasonable boundary.

@realhackhistory I thought "not really related" until I thought a bit further: you have a set of ethics and you adhere to them.
@realhackhistory Thank you for not reinforcing those mirror neurons in our heads.

@realhackhistory

While I’m a fan of absurd, and I love that kind of comedy, I’m not a comedian so I’ve stopped joking about these things as well.

I also keep my eye out for any cruelty based humor, in myself and the people around me, and I try to do my best to call it out while conveying I’m not playing along.

@realhackhistory My employer forced everyone who works here (literally thousands of people) to undergo one hour of GenAI training, and now we're expected to discuss with our teams how to implement GenAI into our workflows. I'm genuinely considering switching industries.
@tmyakal @realhackhistory makes me wonder: if GenAI is truly so transformative technology as is claimed, why do organisations have to have brainstorming sessions on how and where to use it? Maybe it is, in the end, just another tool among many, with plenty of technical, economical and social downsides...
@realhackhistory 100% agree. I especially don’t understand the mainstreaming of Woycheck imagery. There are much better things to use.
@realhackhistory in my mind, the venn diagram of those sets is almost a circle

  • MAGA or nazi imagery

I also think this is a reasonable boundary.
