Laser treatment is when vets/rehabbers target soft tissues with certain wavelengths of light. Reportedly this helps reduce pain and inflammation in their patient's injuries, and stimulates healing. From my very cursory search, the efficacy of light therapy is a spicy topic and research is ongoing. Here's a link to a metastudy https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC9951699/

I believe that the owl charity would do well to avoid non-evidence-based treatments. Both in terms of the charity's credibility and of the owls' health outcomes.

I for one would not donate to fund these treatments.
