Tomorrow, I'll add the fall of Saigon from US puppet regime, what my family was doing around that time/that day & then continue to share about our family's experiences in Saigon until we left & ended up in first of two refugee camps.

Everything that I shared, today, about the US terrorist invasion in my birthplace, Vietnam, took a lot out of my emotional/PTSD banks.

@PhoenixSerenity
Sending positive, peaceful vibes your way❤️
Also, I’m so sorry. It’s all so unnecessary.
@RiaResists I hate watching warmongering history keep repeating itself with US being global terrorists, yet again. US seriously needs a domestic resistance army - willing to fight/die on their own sovereign lands & fighting their own fascist government.
@PhoenixSerenity
Me too. I think most of us do, but the #EpsteinClass does whatever they want. With our money.
Viet Nam, this…. Gaza.
Recklace & indefensible.
@RiaResists They do what they want because there's no real resistance in USA. When you look at other places where their domestic government has been completely corrupted & where bastard regimes were overthrown - it's done by mobs of angry, not rich citizens, willing to risk their lives to obtain freedom & sovereignty. Knowing full well - they may be shot to death & they still go out to fight against fascists.

@PhoenixSerenity @RiaResists
The assholes in charge have done a lot to sell USians on "peaceful protest".

I know people who go out and peacefully wave signs every weekend and it doesn't inspire anything more than a handful of Facebook posts largely shared amongst the people who were there themselves. If these people ever get angry enough to block the streets and businesses, and start hitting the rich assholes in the pocket, maybe I'll join them.

The sheepdogs lead us on a nice little refreshing run around the yard every so often to work off our energy and help us feel like we're getting somewhere.

@violetmadder @PhoenixSerenity @RiaResists
Yep. The last time I went to one, it felt like a high school pep rally, and gave me nothing but bad vibes. I'm not saying there's zero value in peaceful protest, but it's absolutely worthless without other forms.
@TheGreatLlama @violetmadder @RiaResists I'm more into covert direct mass sabotage actions when I can't be at frontline blockades.
@PhoenixSerenity @violetmadder @RiaResists
I hate to say it, but the "peaceful protest" becomes most useful when the pigs overreact and treat it like a riot. A "safe" protest is basically no protest.
@TheGreatLlama @violetmadder @PhoenixSerenity Well don’t discourage people from protesting. It’s our right & it brings attention to issues.
And fckface hates it.
I also call & write reps which helps.
@RiaResists @violetmadder @PhoenixSerenity
If you think my point was to make people stop, you misunderstood.
@TheGreatLlama @violetmadder @PhoenixSerenity
Thank you!
I see too many people discouraging it.
I’m older & white. I feel it’s my responsibility to be out there and would hate to think it’s for nothing.
My first protest was an environmental problem. We let our objective & got it closed down.
My older sister & her group got a lot of attention by blocking the employee entrance. Some arrest
I told my school, got my mom to get signatures, etc

@RiaResists @violetmadder @PhoenixSerenity
Sadly, I don't think it's particularly effective by itself, especially in the current climate but it's incredibly helpful when there are other things happening. It's getting those other things in motion that is key in my mind.

I wish you nothing but support waving signs, but I'm not the guy for the marathon. Too many other demands on my time, not enough spoons.

@TheGreatLlama @RiaResists @PhoenixSerenity

Americans have been taught to forget the full spread of options available and the tools needed to get real shit done.

Direct action, mutual aid, and labor organizing cover a huge tapestry of interconnected and necessary actions. Real disruption has to impact the oppressive system's ability to function and make money, or we're just spinning our wheels.

Voting and marching up and down the street are the easiest activism to control and ignore, so we're funneled towards only those as if anything else is simply impossible (or "terrorism").

Diversity of tactics is key.

@violetmadder @TheGreatLlama @PhoenixSerenity
Yes. We have to do all of it.
Boycotting is def worth it.
I used to write letters to corporations to ask for environmentally friendly practices & other things like that. Call & write news; journalists….
@TheGreatLlama @PhoenixSerenity Join them! I wish I could join more mid week protests.
We need to everything we can
