oh damnit. I mixed the wrong one, there wasn't enough persulphate in there to get a proper etch, I have to remix and start again.... oh I was not supposed to do that...
I cant get the ammonium persulphate anymore.
@RueNahcMohr why do you prefer ammoniumpersulfate over sodium-?

@peaceman heh, I dont prefer either. but I didn't have enough ammonium persulphate to made a mix, and I mixed up the bottles. so now I have a too-weak mix of ammonium persulphate and a working mix of sodium persulphate. as it turns out, I cant get the sodium persulphate anymore, but I'm trying to switch to cupric chloride (which I can make, saves $60/4L batch) but I cant get the cupric chloride to work.

and ferric chloride is MESSY.

@RueNahcMohr I've been using ferric chloride for the past 35 years and while messy, it's also dead cheap :)

Tried Sodium persulphate once yet.
