Last year I scored an absurdly good deal on a lightly used #BurleyTravoy cargo trailer.
While I wasn’t originally looking for one, the price was too good to pass up. I’ve been using it regularly for grocery runs and, really it’s so good. Wheel it right into the store, load up the bags on it, check out, load it back up again. Literally one second to attach/remove from my bike.
Obviously not for hauling kids or heroic #CarryShitOlympics loads but it’s just so convenient.
If you’ve already got a bike and getting a cargo bike just isn’t practical (too expensive/too heavy/you have to deal with stairs, don’t have a place to store a big bike etc) think about the Travoy. It’s definitely not cheap, but I think it provides good value for money.
@voiceofunreason Oh, that thing looks great! It could be the ideal solution for lugging mine and my son's stuff to the archery range.
Our gear is too bulky for pannier bags, and the archery backpack I use instead is both bigger and heavier than I'd like for cycling with. I had been wondering about getting a bicycle trailer for this, but really didn't want another bulky object to find storage space for at home.
With the Travoy it looks like I could just strap the archery backpack to the trailer using the tie-down straps, and fold the trailer down small for easy storage when it's not in use.
@spacelizard should work, as long as the archery backpack isn’t too wide as to not fit between the wheels. This person carries a cello on theirs.
