Tattie@georgetakei agreed. Too many people think that to appeal to floating voters you have to find some "compromise position" on trans issues which involves taking away some of our rights.
In fact, for better and worse, the average person does not care about trans people. They care about putting enough food on the table and paying the bills. About healthcare, schools, emergency services, and infrastructure.

The Heritage Foundation/Project 2025 & The Alliance Defending Freedom are all Conservative Christian Billionaires attempting to create a Conservative Christian Theocratic Totalitarian Government. And, they're more than 60% complete. While people are demonstrating in the streets. Their government takeover is still moving along.

@LukefromDC @georgetakei If and when a new Civil War begins. That is when Trump calls for Martial Law. The National Guard will be installed. As well as, the Proud Boys, Oathkeepers, and Patriot Front. Not to mention DHS and CBP. The Civil War either won't last long. Or turn out like the movie Civil War (2024). The billionaires will sit and wait. Anyone in the middle and lower classes will be working for the Oligarchs. It will take an event like Nicolae Ceaușesc's end of reign.
@TheTannhauserGate @georgetakei This civil war is already under way, and we have nearly won one of the major battles in Minneapolis. Key to that victory seems to have been on Jan 14, when ICE shot and wounded someone and a neighborhood uprising followed. Threats of more shooting were met with threats to return fire-and from a far greater number of combatants. As less lethal projectiles rained down on ICE, they ran for it, knowing better than to get into a firefight with an entire neighborhood by escalating. The capper was fighters capturing their abandoned cars, seizing weapons and a treasure trove of Intel.
Since then, ICE deportations from Minneapolis have plunged as they have backed out of fight after fight, knowing every confrontation they start could now have guns in it on both sides.
Prior to that incident, Trump was yakking about deploying regular army to Minneapolis to reinforce ICE and CBP. After the pasting they got on Jan 14th and then CBP getting caught on video shooting Alex Pretti, Trump removed Bovino and much of CBP's violent BORTAC from the Battle of Minneapolis and has been in retreat ever since.
It's nowhere near over, but the people are winning and Trump is losing. It's interesting that he went to war in Iran so soon after getting his ass kicked in Minneapolis BTW.

Emily Vale, Gendermancer@georgetakei for what it's worth, there are something like 12 transgender high school students that play school sports in the entire US, though this number was from 2 years ago. Given how risky that's become, I rather imagine that number has taken a dive.
