@jwi @hacks4pancakes the people selling the software that was involved in that decision constantly claim it is a sentient being capable of making better-than-human decisions so yes, we will absolutely "blame AI" as part of the larger effort to hold humans (both the ones dropping the bombs and the ones providing them with the support to do so) accountable.

Agreed. I see it as the same as a tradesman blaiming their tools. The human is still responsible.

No tool, it takes longer, there are more opportunities to intervene. With a tool people appear to worship like the arc of the covenant, opportunities for near real-time horrors untold.
