Looking at the news and I’m of the opinion that taxes for the rich should go up until nobody can bet anymore on whether a country will bomb another using insider info.
“But the logistics of that would be complicated”
Ok, so, think of the logistics of “double tapping” _a girls school_. Are those complicated for you?

@adriano
What I don't understand is why people without insider info bother participating in those markets.

A fool and his money are soon parted.

@notsoloud @adriano Pensions are not a thing in the US any longer, so the best retirement benefit a lot of workers will ever see is a 401k. Then bankers choose where that money gets invested.

That's not by accident. The Epstein class made it happen because the rest of us weren't worried enough about survival.

@liquor_american
Ah. I was thinking about formal betting markets like Polymarket etc
@adriano
@notsoloud @adriano I got ya, I was just making a larger connection that speaks to how engrained it is in US culture to gamble with everything, especially if it's life-and-death for somebody else
@adriano obviously they'd borrow money for that if they'd have to.
@adriano maybe we should set up our own version of those betting sites and collect the data from the bettors for investigation.
