On my way back I strolled around like I always tend to do because I often stumble across interesting things.
And what did I find:
Naka Ward Historical Walk - Betsuin Course!
A short 2 kilometer walk through the ward with a lot of shrines, temples and so on.
Challenge accepted!
Just had to start on sight 9 and make my way to 1 :)
Shimochya Park
A nice little japanese garden, sadly you can still hear the noise of the street but a nice little garden.
Higashi Honganji Betsuin
An amazing Jodo Shinsho Buddhist temple, where people were cleaning up after a sunday market.
I came to talk with a food truck owner there, who is originally from Italy and used to go skiing in Austria :)
Amazing how things work out ;)

Hioki Shrine
What a little beauty!
Legends say that Nabunaga Oda prayed there for his battle at Okehazama.

Between 2 buildings I spotted the next gate!
Nishi Honganji Betsuin Temple:
1. At 1874 medjcal training center was founded here.
The predecessor of Nagoya University's School of Medicine
2. UKIYOE-Artist Hokusai Katsushika painted a giant Dharma on a 18 x 10.8 meter sheet of paper in 1817!
kokurya
