Also, matching period features like decorative cornices, skirtings and architraves is now a full time job.

Turns out that if your house is older than a certain age (200 years?), it gets really, really hard to find matching trim.

I have one cornice in my house that is a combination of three different trim types nailed together. Victorian era houses are a little bit nuts.
