I'm poking through an old blog where something has gone wrong with the CSS and emoji images are being loaded not at text size but as unstyled SVGs which expand to the size of the container, and it REALLY adds something to the good ol' passive-aggressive friendly smile
@0xabad1dea I posit that all emojis become menacing at 8000pt
@0xabad1dea one day while high youtube had a breakage moment but the technician monkey that is usually displayed alongside the error page was loaded at this size and it kinda stunned me for a moment
@0xabad1dea Now THAT’S toxic positivity.

@0xabad1dea at least you can see what the emoji is! Not always possible for those of us with not-so-great vision anymore.

I want the following feature in EVERY piece of software that supports emoji: Long-press on emoji to expand it. It's a matter of accessibility. People use so many great emoji and I can't see what they are!

@0xabad1dea reminds me a bit of a serial killer if you ask me
@0xabad1dea The fake smiles grow and eventually take over if left unsupervised.
