@jaykuo It's Spain's airspace. They decide who flies in it. If US violates Spain's order on their airbases by flying missions to Iran, Spain could close their airspace to US military aircraft. Nothing US fan do about it.

You understand he's talking about not caring what Spain says, right? Like closing Spanish airspace to the US doesn't put a big anti-airplane shield around Spain - he's saying he would not respect Spanish sovereignty.

What's Spain going to do about it? He thinks they won't (can't) do anything.

Unauthorized aircraft landing at a "forbidden" air base can be seized. And their crews arrested.

At a minimum, they won't be refuled.

Annoy them too much, and they can do things like surround your aircraft with concrete barriers.

Fly over restricted airspace and they *may* shoot at you.

@jaykuo Thinking of not using other country's airfields. Did the DOGE dudes fire the people responsible for making all the missiles and other munitions. Might not be a problem for the US for much longer. "We don't need your stinking airport."
