one impressive thing about KVM is how fast vmexits are. it's sometimes hard to appreciate that a lot until you have Hyper-V as a comparison

(Especially on x86)

@benpye it's pretty much generalised. an MMIO vmexit ends up overall being ~10x more expensive versus KVM
