Nevar23I may've jinxed things a couple months ago when I said bluebirds always nest in the bluebird house in my backyard. I've seen the male bluebird trying to keep a nuthatch out of the new bluebird house (I had to replace the old one) a couple times, but I haven't seen the female. Today the nuthatch was going in and out of the house with no challenge.
Maybe it's because there's a predator baffle on the new bluebird house and the female decided that was a nope.
