Dutch gov't pulls report on dangers of American cloud service after criticism

The Ministry of Justice and Security removed a report on the risks of Amazon’s “European Sovereign Cloud” service shortly after publishing it. This followed critics saying that the report underestimates the service’s dangers and illustrates the government’s tunnel vision regarding American big tech, the Volkskrant reports.

@iamada it is the attachment to the tried and "trusted", basically not to change from the known. I am also moving away from microslop and company - but am still in the flow. It is an effort - occasionally one puts it as "too much effort" a perspective that has to be overcome! 😒

@connynasch maybe I have too much faith in this land and it's people, but to me the idea of "tried and trusted" here feels as artificial as the housing crisis.

We are talking about the same country that built the Deltaworks, tamed the Zuiderzee and raised an entire new region out of it.

The same country that has revolutionized agriculture to a point where it's one of the largest exporters in the world, despite being the size of a US state.

The same country that has literally fixed it's artificial problems like housing before...

But then, well, then VVD had some ideas 🤦‍♀️
(Don't worry though, this time, this time they'll do different! They'll do better in this coalition, they pinky promise! /sad-sarcasm)
