I know some of you use medical cannabis in NSW, or have family members who do.

There's currently a strong push to protect medical users from criminal records if they're caught driving with *traces of THC in their system*. If you agree, now is the time to write to your MP.

This is NOT an excuse for impaired driving. If you've just pulled a bong, or are off your tits, don't drive. Like booze.

Even Minns admits the law isn't fit for purpose. Minns! 😳

#MedicalCannabis

It's legal medicine, let us drive!

Patients prescribed medicinal cannabis should be allowed to drive responsibly, just like patients prescribed any other medicine.

The only thing they can do a blood test for while driving is Blood Alcohol Content.

That's it.

You can't get a DUI for THC and you also can't force a victim to under duress sign any per se admin affidavit or paperwork to recieve a DUI in a collision they are not at fault in. Particularly after having made them afraid for their life or the life and safety of their child if they don't sign.

It's a felony form of misconduct under color of law.
It's excessive force.
And it's fraud.

@Mage_of_Chaos

As you mentioned felonies, I'll guess you're not from NSW (Australia). We have limited legal grounds for blood tests (in a hospital) for listed drugs. No force.

But this is about random roadside saliva testing. Blood tests may come later. I don't know.

If you drive with traces of THC in your saliva, you have committed an offence, regardless of whether or not you are in any way impaired. Potentially, this could be weeks after you last took your legal medication.

@Mage_of_Chaos

If you drive with traces of alcohol in your system, no worries, up to 0.05 BAC. I don't drink much & definitely feel it before then, but I could wobble out the pub door & be sweet.

IMO, this law is a farce, because it punishes people who aren't doing anything wrong. Unless they're driving high... that's wrong & I don't support it. That's not what's tested. They deny it, but the law's really there to punish illegal users, now it's medically legal, the law doesn't work.

@thefathippy

That's your problem. Alcohol is one of the most deadly drugs known to humans.

But you've got a vendetta against a plant, not even a processed plant, lmfao, just a plant.

Dumbest shit I'll ever see.
