The new US cyber security strategy just dropped. I'm a Claude user, and I suspiciously inquired of Claude as to the number of em-dashes in this four page document. Then I asked Claude to analyze the probability of this document being LLM-written.

Claude then throws some naughty shade.

@Tarah last person i thought i'd block for llm boosting.
@Tarah the analysis I really want is comparing to prior one, since strategy doc writing style is often so high-level as to be nearly meaningless (unless you also have all the cascading/supporting docs and know how they nest)

@TindrasGrove For reference, this is the one Rob Knake spearheaded, the prior standing cyber security strategy of the US.

@Tarah β€œThe Matrix was redesigned to this, the peak of your civilization. I say your civilization because as soon as we started thinking for you it really became our civilization.”

@Tarah If Claude doesn't have the ability to provide an accurate estimate, you don't believe that Claude has the ability to present an accurate estimate, and you present its estimate without any indication this is unreliable, you're committing some journalistic sins that you certainly know not to.

(I agree, probably AI slop. Hopefully just written from bullet points, not fully slopped.)

@geofurb good thing I’m not a journalist.
