Slurs spoke themselves unto the mouths of young GOP members again! I just hope that they're all OK!🤡

Slurs emitted themselves fully formed, from the fingertips of innocent far-right people! That must have been terrifying for them! 🤡

Pray for those that survived spontaneous chat room devolution! 🤡

@mekkaokereke
The chat (d)evolved. It's a natural and organic process. Are you denying evolution now?
Chats have rights too! (Confirmed by ChatGPT)
Chat lives matter. /sarcasm
@mekkaokereke we all know and need to say it to their faces more often so that they know too
@mekkaokereke Someone left a box of slurs open on the table. Sloppy
@mekkaokereke
... Is that some reading comprehension excercise in an English test? Intention of toning down the part Republicans played in this event aside, I really find it difficult to even understand this title. 😬
@mekkaokereke This tells you all you need to know about the GOP.

@mekkaokereke

Passive voice - the bane of accountability.

@juergen_hubert @mekkaokereke there’s active voice, passive voice, and NYT exonerative voice

@juergen_hubert @mekkaokereke This is active voice. The Times did their dirt semantically — not grammatically — by attributing the action to an abstract noun instead of a specific person or group.

(Passive voice: "The dirt was done semantically ..." "The chat was filled with slurs ...")

In the paper signs in this photo, passive voice is on the left, active on the right.

I apologize for my pedantry.

@mekkaokereke

Supernatural slurs materialized out of thin air.

@mekkaokereke hate it when the chat is invaded by slurs. They just show up. Very annoying.
@romabysen @mekkaokereke and what can you do? They just showed up, they're not doing anything to *you*... and that's how you end up running a young republicans bar...
@mekkaokereke they must have to muzzle and drug their own headline writers to insert these. There is no way the actual headline writer isn't gagging (in a negative way) over that mealy ambiguous garbage.
@wronglang @mekkaokereke You mean they haven't already replaced them with AI?
@baishen @mekkaokereke once they do all headlines will read like this
@wronglang There was that time during the election where the headline described Trump rambling for 20 minutes about Arnold Palmer's penis as "golf stories" and people were dragging the credited writer on social media and finally he was like "talk to my editor." @mekkaokereke
@Thad @mekkaokereke yeah although at some point the credited writer needs to own their name and remove it... as someone who has to put my name to the claims I write about, I feel pretty strongly about.
@mekkaokereke they're fuckin Nazis that hate me and my friends
@mekkaokereke thoughts and prayers, baby! thoughts and prayers!
@mekkaokereke It’s Slur Bug season in Florida, when they emerge from their winter hibernation to fly around and make more slurs. They just fly into mouths in their spring frenzy. Another reason to wear N95 masks.
@mekkaokereke This is why schools need to have passive shooter drills.

@mekkaokereke Republicans are racist, misogynist, pedophile-supporting pieces of human garbage.

Yes, all of them.

@mekkaokereke thuddingly obvious (to those already informed of the nature of the GOP) that this happens constantly in their chats at all stages of their political lifecycle, but also a necessity that it keep being reported plainly.
“Young GOP group exchanged racist slurs in group chat set up by a party official in the racist party”
@mekkaokereke I still don’t know how to look straight at the fact that no less than a sixth of all Americans are fully in the tank for any flavor of racist fascism. Particularly as those numbers will look significantly worse for my demographic. And half of eligible voters are blasé, disaffected, or suppressed. And since the ostensible opposition to this threat is a risible clown show of various useless windbags, diet fascists themselves, or vastly outnumbered by the preceding, I can’t see as I blame them all that much. It’s serious, but the ready-to-hand options against are generally not.
