This week I had reason to buy and set up a 4th gen iPod Nano (replacing a broken one used by an older relative who doesn't use smartphones etc). It was honestly pretty nostalgic. Creating a personal iTunes library, manually syncing music to a device, all that stuff, it's felt kinda... nice!
@gregw That's cool I've thought about doing the same thing. Put the lack of Bluetooth for headphones and the weird 30-pin connector is such a turn off. I thought about looking at more modern mp3 players and starting an MP3 collection again
@apphands Oh 100% agree on the 30-pin. It felt so bad. A modern iPod with usb-c and no internet access / apps would be really interesting.
