Are ad blockers just broken on iOS now? I’ve tried both Wipr and 1Blocker, and a large number of web pages just give errors now.

@mako I’ve been seeing this too with #NextDNS blocking ad domains.

@mako yeah when I disable it I get sites to work and still get some/most ads blocked. I kinda tried tracking down the failing requests but haven’t dig in too far. I usually experience a flash of the site then it shows that error.

@caleb Seeing the same behavior. I should spend some time tracking it down too; now wondering if the iOS side, the DNS side, or that ads have gotten smarter.. ugh.

@mako I think websites are just getting more vigilant about breaking things for ad blockers.

@mako I know some affiliate links I’ve clicked won’t load without the ad blocker being off.

@mako I’ve seen more of this. I’ve taken to the nuclear option for some sites: StopTheScript to block all JavaScript.
