Wish I could afford a trackball. I refuse to buy a unrepairable landfill fodder mouse…but mapping with a laptop trackpad is a special kind of hell.* (Also, mice aren’t as ergonomic, need a flat and even surface to work, and need more desk space.)

*That’s partly why I map with Vespucci so much…but there are times when JOSM is simply better. Like drawing rectangles, or drawing terraced buildings, or adding public transport routes.

@contrapunctus Another way to burn a hole in your pocket: Get a 360 touchscreen laptop and a stylus, or something like a wacom.

JOSM is not optimized for touch, but using a stylus to draw curves, roads, rivers and other features is super easy and intuitive.

Its so quick to draw buildings too with building_tools plugin and a stylus.
