Here are a couple of photos of me playing around with the new #Jolla #smartphone (or pocket computer, as I like to call it). While I’m still fond of slightly smaller phones, I realise there aren’t many good options for that, unless you have the capital for a custom screen. However due to the shape and texture (not slippery), it was quite easy for me to reach all round the bottom half. Much easier than on iPhones. The balance also gave me confidence it would not fall out.

The screen has a subtle edge curve which helps with the #Jolla gestures. The screen was bright and colours saturated. Everything worked smooth and rapid, but then again the same could mostly be said about my old Sony Xperia 10ii running #Sailfish. I didn’t have the time to do in-depth tests with Android apps.

One thing I noticed was the lack of text prediction/correction. That’s apparently something being looked into (the Xperia build has it).

@Setok I was going to say (in response to your previous post) that it looks like an Xperia. Loved my oooold Xperia Z
@jellycrystals just in case it wasn’t clear: this phone (in the picture) is all Jolla. Designed by them and running their OS. But a few Xperias are officially supported by Jolla as phones to run Sailfish. That’s how I play with it :) Was pretty straightforward to install and works.
@jellycrystals you’re right though. Some of the Xperias are nice. I personally like the form factor of the 10ii (and presumably others too).
@Setok Ah. Thought it was their software on an Xperia.
