@hart I feel this is something that really needs a source attribution, cause it's in the "too good to be true" range of statements by a diplomat.

‘Shaheds Killed Civilians’: Ukraine Reacts as Iran Opens Khamenei Mourning Book in Kyiv

Ukraine criticized Iran’s embassy in Kyiv for opening a condolence book for Ali Khamenei, recalling that Iranian Shahed drones killed Ukrainian civilians.

@neuimneuland @hart I'm not sure. The KP links to a linkedin post which seems to be the source of the cropped image. However, the post isn't by ambassador Scherba, but a Roman Sheremeta, so the sourcing's still a bit shaky.
Cursory searches gives that prof. Sheremeta doesn't seem employed by the embassy. He's a writer for the Kyiv Post, though, and involved with different NGOs in Ukraine.
No other news sites I've heard of have it, but some that seems on the "less confirming" side of reporting.

Weirdly, Iranian embassy in Pretoria notified us, Ukrainian diplomats, about opening a book of condolences in memory of ayatollah Khamenei and the military leadership of Iran. I decided to respond - and do it in a public way. The letter explains why. Your Excellency, Mr.

@andreaskem @neuimneuland @hart Thank you!
It's weird that Kyiv Post didn't link that instead of the linkedin post by one of their contributors.
