@outofprintarchive The N64 press hardly existed in France, despite the relative popularity of the console, because it was released very late (septembre 1997). Historic monthly Super Power did not survive the long wait. There were only two dedicated magazines: the official Nintendo Magazine, and X64, which actually the French translation of N64 Magazine. Translated magazines were never popular in France because the strong bond between writers and readers was very important in the local press.

@Catel

I actually had a couple of those early N64 issues by mistake.
As I had a subscription of sorts at a local newsagent, but they switched it from the UK to the French version for whatever reason.
After a couple of issues as I didn't mind getting the French version, they explained that the company they used weren't carrying the UK magazines any longer.
Soon thereafter the French one stopped arriving in the shop also.

@outofprintarchive Talk about confusing...
@outofprintarchive I have this on #NintendoSwitch, but I don't think I'm arsed with all of the backtracking & collecting of Shiny Bullshit™. I never played original #N64 game, but it's fairly infamous now & the controls are awkward on the Switch (not the only N64 game with this problem). I couldn't hack figuring out where there's a switch or a button to put missing puzzle pieces into the "Click Clock Wood" painting, in #BanjoKazooie. Something tells me I would'nt make it far in #DonkeyKong 64...
