And it works. Let's see how much fun we can get out of my son's toy car with it! Technically it should be 10 times as much as with the battery that came with the car.

@tmalsburg You should be - if these types of battery catch fire, e.g. because they are charged the wrong way or there is some internal connection problem...

@abulling The charger has a temperature sensor that starts an alarm at 60°C.

@abulling The charger has active balancing and I made sure the cells were balanced to begin with (within 0.01V). After 0.5Ah at a rate of 1.5A, the pack seems perfectly cool.
