We switched to #mailbox_org last year for e-mail and our family calendar, but we're struggling with a few things:
- tasks missing subtasks
- no sync for notes
- family calendar feels weird, since you invite other family members to events you create instead of just creating events in a shared calendar

Should we have used another provider? Do you know who offers a simpler shared calendar (and shared to do lists)?

I just checked our calendar settings - I created a new calendar and gave my partner "author" access, which is the highest possible level as far as I can see. I didn't create it as public calendar, though, maybe that's the problem?
@LilithElina That is exactly what I do. You complain about the email messages you get, if your partner adds an appointment, right? I think that can be switched off in "Settings" - "Notifications" - "Calendar" - "EMail Notifications" - first option ("Termineinladung, -änderung und -löschung" in german UI).
@kyrodan Thanks!
He's also irritated by what he sees when he creates events. But I've set up a public calendar for testing now, to see if that was the problem all along. We'll see.
@LilithElina Just to make sure: I have my family calendar set up with "nur eingeladene Personen" (not public!).
Your partner then sees your calendar in *his* mailbox.org WebUI. If he creates appointments it must be done for *your* calendar (and not his calender with you as participant added) - double-check in appointment creation view, field "Calendar". By default the own calendar is preselected for creation of appointments;
@kyrodan Yes, exact, that's what annoys him - that he has to create events in *my* calendar instead of *ours*.
@LilithElina Okay, had the same here at my Home. Just created a new shared calendar "Family" in my account. Thats it. Wife was happy :-)
@kyrodan Wie hat das denn geholfen?
