Sweet dreams (are made of these)!

Spiders are my instinctual enemy, and if they touch my skin when I relocate them, I will vomit. And yet, the first time I saw a tarantula, my brain just said “Awww! Furry! Pet it!!!”

I didn’t pet it. Don’t pet them. They won’t like it. But they are so large and furry, they read as mammals. Maybe a field mouse on octa-stilts.

I wish I saw them more often.

I have an uncomfortable arachnid in my shop, a “giant house spider” he dines on other spiders so it’s an uncomfortable truce. His body isn’t as big as a tarantula but he’s about 4”, Sonoran desert looks magical, thanks for sharing your photos! Hello from Oregon

A 4” house spider is serious business!! If I saw a tarantula in my house I would probably be less chill about it!
